The volcano\u2019s lava looking like black lace characterizes the Paesi Etnei area; while visiting the islands mentioned in the Odyssey poem, and passing through Scilla e Cariddi, we will revive Ulysses\u2019 myth. The Cyclops\u2019 Riviera is the place where the myth of Polyphemus melts with the world renown writer Giovanni Verga\u2019s novels, and the literary current known as \u201cVerismo\u201d. The Eolian Islands have been so many times seen as movie set, that their landscapes have thus become famous all over the world.
